Consortium

IMAGINE partners represent five European countries. Each partner is bringing in the consortium high level of competences, furthermore, the partners offer a balanced consortium with expertise in all of the relevant areas necessary for the development of a PTO.

Details of the partners

The IMAGINE project comprises an international consortium with cross-functional skills in ocean energy and industrial engineering. Details of the partners, and principal contributions are given below.

UMBRAGROUP SpA

Italy

UMBRAGROUP is the owner and developer of the technology on which this project is based. They will be in charge of the Electro-Mechanical Generator (EMG) design and manufacturing by transferring extensive knowledge and successful operation from the aerospace sector. It will also operate the HardWare-In-the-Loop (HWIL) test bench and collaborate at the development of standardization and commercialization maps for the EMG.

Project Coordination Board (PCB)

The PCB will assume the overall Project Management and administrative coordination role throughout the entire project duration. It will be in charge of the daily management work and will take care of preparation and follow-upof project reviews and meetings. The PCB will be responsible for project administration and reporting and will manage possible amendments to the Grant agreement and to the Consortium Agreement. The PCB, acting as the intermediary between the Consortium and the EC, is composed by three key figures: Project Coordinator (PC), Exploitation and Dissemination Manager (EDM) and Quality and Risk Manager (QRM).

Luca Castellini

Project Coordinator (PC)

Technical Advisory Board

A Technical Advisory Board (TAB) has been formed to assist with the development and commercialisation of the Electro-Mechanical Generator (EMG) being developed as part of the IMAGINE project. The TAB will provide external guidance and will contribute to make the EMG a suitable product for the international market.
