First technical workshop

Technical workshops are one of the means identified for the IMAGINE project results dissemination. The first workshop was held at UMBRAGROUP facilities in Foligno on the 28th August 2019, the week ahead of the 13th European Wave and Tidal Energy Conference (held in Naples).
The workshop was organized in collaboration with the International Network on Offshore Renewable Energy (INORE) and involved a total of number of 42 people; the attendees belonged to WEC developers, energy utilities, research and academic institutions operating in the Offshore Renewable Energy sector. The participants came from 19 different countries and represented all the 6 continents.
The activities carried out during the workshop include:
• tour of UMBRA facilities
• sharing of EMG development recent activities and results
• group and panel discussions
Other that on the participants, the presence of a workshop in UG facilities had an impact also on media such as online sites and local newspapers.
